Talk, Read, Sing! Celebrate National Literacy Month with Dr. Seuss Foundation and First 5 San Diego at the San Diego Central Library

Join us for a free, family-friendly event to celebrate National Literacy Month and the power of talking, reading and singing with young children. You are invited to enjoy a gathering for storytelling, crafts, interactive activities, and community resources designed to help children build strong language and literacy skills from the very beginning.

Dr. Seuss Foundation is excited to partner with First 5 San Diego for this Talk, Read, Sing event. First 5 San Diego is the County’s organization that promotes the health and well-being of young children during their most formative years.

• A special appearance by the Cat in the Hat 
• Hands-on literacy crafts inspired by Dr. Seuss stories and early learning best practices 
• A Family Engagement Zone with local community partners offering activities and resources 
• NEW Explorer Pass, where families collect stamps from participating organizations to earn a prize
